Dear Justin,
I won’t tell you exactly how, but I walked into your lovely essay about the library Oracle and Angel on the web. Thank you very much! Speaking about synchronicity, it gave me some insight into what I am trying to do now, and encouraged me to follow my initial intention. I am a classical pianist, who’s trying to find a completely new way of doing things after having lost the system which was my only life environment for many years. Studying synthesizers and all kinds of computer applications without a mentor is a tough row to hoe (I will not mention my tender age :-))) ). I’m trying to learn the styles I’ve never mastered (it’s about “twanking the authors you love”); although my classical background makes me feel rather conservative. I like the term “electronic art music” which I found on the web. Probably, it generally reflects what I am after.
I’ve been reading your notes on Robert Moss’ blog for a while, and you always make me think about studying English harder than I do.
I’m not sure that even in a distant future I would be able to approximate English to my native Russian, and it makes me feel really miserable… :-)))))))))
However, I totally enjoy all that I can read in English, regardless of the fact that the pile of books I’m voraciously providing for my further reading is growing faster than I am able to conduct (although I’m not sure that realizing that would stop me from buying more books).
Thanks again for a nice reading! All the best!
Sincerely,
Alla
